How to Measure Your Dog
Measure over your dog’s everyday coat, standing in a natural, relaxed position. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slide two fingers underneath.
Neck
Wrap the tape around the base of the neck, where a collar naturally sits — roughly two finger-widths above the shoulders. This determines the fit around the collar opening.
Chest (Girth)
Wrap the tape around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs. This is the single most important measurement — when in doubt, size for the chest.
Back Length
Measure from the base of the neck (collar point) to the base of the tail, following the curve of the spine. This determines overall garment length and where it ends on the body.
What you’ll need: a soft fabric tape measure works best. No tape measure on hand? Use a piece of string or ribbon to wrap around your dog, then lay it flat against a ruler or yardstick to read the length. Round up to the nearest half-inch.
Size Chart
Applies to the Classic Jacket and Classic Overall. If your dog measures between two sizes, size up for a roomier, layer-friendly fit.

Tips for the Best Fit
Deep-chested breeds
Greyhounds, Whippets, and other deep-chested dogs often need one size down at the neck relative to their chest measurement. When in doubt, prioritize the chest fit.
Layering underneath
Planning to layer over a sweater in colder months? Size up for extra room, especially through the chest and back length.
Growing puppies
For puppies still growing, measure again every few weeks and choose the size that fits comfortably now rather than sizing up for the future.
Still unsure?
If your measurements fall between two sizes on more than one dimension, size up. A slightly roomier fit is more comfortable than a snug one.
