Four active FDA recalls touch products many Boston-area pet households use. None require panic. All deserve a look at the label.

1. Wedgewood Pharmacy compounded veterinary medications

The pharmacy’s lab testing was inconsistent, which means some compounded products may be subpotent or superpotent. The recall covers products shipped between February 18 and October 6, 2026, and reporting puts the count near 4,000 medications. The FDA published the notice October 21; 98 complaints had been filed, seven of them serious. If your vet dispensed a compounded medication this year, call the clinic and ask whether it came from Wedgewood.

2. Fi Calming and Fi 8-in-1 Formula dog supplements (180 g)

Possible Salmonella contamination in lots 26118 and 26159, sold directly and through Amazon and Chewy. Salmonella can sicken dogs and the people who handle their food.

3. Northwest Naturals frozen raw foods

FDA sampling found Salmonella and/or Listeria. Affected lots are B-5 (2 lb chicken topper) and B-19 (6 lb raw diet for dogs).

4. Fromm Turkey Pâté and Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pâté cans

Possible metal pieces, found after customer complaints. Lots EP2A3306 551006 and EP2A3306 551029. No illnesses or injuries have been reported.

What to do

  • Match lot numbers before you toss anything. Lot codes are printed on the bag, can or vial.
  • Stop feeding a recalled product and wash bowls, scoops and hands.
  • Watch for vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy or fever for a few days, and call your vet if they appear.
